OUR SERVICES

We have a network of bi-lingual notaires and avocats who will gladly help you with the various methods of acquisition. Such methods can vary greatly, depending on your personal situation and wishes. It can be possible, for example, to buy en tontine, or as a Société Civile Immobiliêre.

We can contact approved French architects if required, and they in turn will consult with and supervise interior designers and craftsmen throughout France.

If you wish to farm in France we have an expert who will guide you through the world of French law and its application to would-be fanners - tax free deeds, low interest mortgages, social security costs, tax options, land use and profitability of a specific farm, and much more.

We have supervised the design and conversion of barge-yachts on countless shipyards throughout Europe. We have worked in this highly specialised field for clients from all Continents. We really love this type of work, and are able to work in a ‘hands-on’ situation with both shipyard and owner. We were lucky enough once to find someone who could afford our dream, and commissioned us to realise it - a custom- designed barge-yacht lovingly converted, and moored on the navigable French canal that bordered the grounds of the chateau that we had restored meticulously for him (complete with horses and ponies for family and friends!).

We would be delighted to help you with any stage of realising your dream:

advice
search for the ‘right’ property
acquisition, and the associated paperwork
liaising with, and supervision of, architect, designer and craftsmen

You may normally expect that our Senior Partner, Jim Marshall, will personally hold your hand from the moment at which you indicate your wish to view a particular property (or properties) to the moment at which you sign the acte definitif at the notaire ‘s office, when the properly becomes yours to do with as you wish. Together with his Canadian wife, Dinah, Jim has raised a bi-lingual family in France, and they are both well-qualified to advise, not only on this particular subject, but on life in France in general.

It is a matter of pride with Jim that he can return, sometimes years later, to properties that he has sold, and be treated by the new owners as a family friend.
